Second Survey: When My parent came out.........?

This survey considers the experiences children of lgbt people had at the time their parent came out and how they wish it had been for their parent. This survey too has been emailed and mailed around the world. The results will guide the future development of this website as a more comprehensive section on children is developed. The reactions to the coming out time, have a monumental impact on the children of the lgbt person. As we consider the remaking of the context around coming out, then both the responses to the child themselves and to their parent, impacts the child. These responses need to be reworked for the betterment of the experience and the strength of the entire community. Add your voice. Forward this survey with abandon. Why Surveys?

The mission is to change, to elevate and enhance, the context of the coming out experience. Let's change the way we think about coming out. The thoughts, dreams and wishes of all of you who have had this experience can be incorporated here.

We all know, unfortunately, about homophobia and heterosexism but it isn't enough to know what we don't want -- let's be specific and creative about what we do want. This survey considers only one small part of the lgbt life, that of coming out. One part, one step....let's move forward.
